“For his first individual exhibition at the Artnueve gallery, Christian Lagata (Jerez de la Frontera, 1986) sublimates some of the obsessions he has been working on for the last five years. ‘Una oscura euforia’, an expression taken from the novelist Don DeLillo, is the title of the landscape that the artist has arranged in the gallery through the spatial recombination of different works produced especially for the occasion. Through his constellation, Lagata outlines some distinctive scenarios of late capitalism such as disused lots, urban wastelands and the ruins of rural industrialization.”
